sculpt it

Some terrific sculptures by one of my favourite modern artists Cy Twombly! His work really is a feast for the eyes and i urge you to peek into his abstract world. Sculpting has never really been an art form i have ever dipped my toes into, i prefer to stick with the pencils and paints, but i have been researching and fawning over it of late and i would love to try my hand at creating some small pieces. Does anyone want to do a Ghost style class with me? We can rub hands and it will be sexy!

Creepy Ghost references aside does anyone have any tips on where to start? The last semi-structure i made was a tower for my toys when i was wee and that was not a fruitful venture! As it steadily progressed it started to look more and more like a giant poo/penis >_<

In other news i recently celebrated another passing year :D i am now older and wiser and yet still just as goofy and ridiculous as i was when i was a young'un. I kicked off the beginning of my twentieth year with friends, food, drink, cake and an outdoor performance of 'Much Ado About Nothing' in a local park, a hilarious play which i highly recommend! It was terrific to watch the closing scene against the setting glow of the sun.

(pictures of said play are after the jump!)

see that little head there? well that belonged to a girl who projectile vomited half way through uhhggg

kittens! They have not made an appearance in a while.

  1. Well first of all a happy birthday, and second of all, yes, I shall do Ghost with you. I like the sculptures but I really have no idea where to begin except perhaps check for some classes in it near you.

    1. Thanks dude! Haha I've never actually seen Ghost film in full- that scene is not as much about clay making as I was led to believe!

    1. Thank you my friend!! Ahaha i am the baby amongst all my friends! I am an august child so my birthday always falls later than everyone else's >_< i think we are in the same school year i am just a young'un?

Ahh dont be silly! This blog wildly misrepresents my day to day life! Mostly when im not working, you will find me sat in my undies eating pizza/pasties/anything with carbs in rapping along badly to tupac (im trying to get good enough to join my friends rap band! Tis not going well):D :D no sophistication here i promise you just goofiness! xoxoxo
